Holiday lets that rely on listing sites pay commission on every booking. Hill Head Cottage takes bookings directly: guests check availability, see the price and pay on the site, and the calendar stays in step with the other channels the owner uses.
What we built
- Live availability and bookingGuests see real availability, choose dates and book, with short holds so two people cannot take the same dates.
- Dynamic pricingNightly rates come from a pricing service, with fees, minimum stays and a configurable security deposit applied automatically.
- Secure paymentsCard payments are taken through Stripe, with confirmation and return handling.
- Guest accountsSign-in with email and password or with Google, so guests can see and manage their bookings.
- Calendar syncCalendars are exchanged with Airbnb using iCal, to avoid double bookings.
- Emails and enquiriesBooking confirmations and enquiry notifications are sent automatically.
- Guest informationGallery, local area guide, FAQ, house rules and policies, built to load quickly and be found by search engines.
